Director Player Risk Monitoring & Intervention
GAME ON – OLG needs you
We’ve said GAME ON, and we mean it – OLG is rapidly transforming its organization to better serve Ontarians by delivering great gaming experiences through our digital, retail lottery, and land-based gaming channels. Over the course of fiscal 2023-24, OLG delivered a record $2.4 billion in net profit to the Province of Ontario. OLG is now expanding our horizons even further, with a new strategic direction that builds on successes to date as a world class gaming entertainment leader with a globally admired omni-channel platform.
OLG is advancing its safer gambling strategy and looking for a passionate leader to oversee player risk monitoring and intervention operations. You’ll ensure early identification of players at risk of gambling harm and lead effective, empathetic outreach and support. This includes managing vendor-delivered monitoring systems, collaborating on data analytics, and guiding frontline teams in delivering care-driven interventions.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the VP Safer Gambling, you will be empowered to:
Lead the evolution of OLG’s player risk monitoring and intervention strategy, using data insights to identify at-risk players early and drive timely, effective, and supportive actions aligned with regulatory standards and player wellbeing goals.
Strengthen the use of data analytics and player risk modelling to enhance how we detect, understand, and respond to player risk—developing new approaches to improve accuracy, scalability, and impact of interventions.
Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of intervention protocols, including outreach, referrals, and account-level controls, ensuring decisions are informed by data, grounded in empathy, and aligned with OLG’s Ethics & Compliance Framework.
Act as the business lead and subject matter expert on the Player Risk Monitoring Tool steering committee, guiding enhancements to the tool and ensuring frontline teams are equipped to deliver consistent, data-informed, player-centred interventions.
Develop and refine KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor program effectiveness, inform leadership and regulatory reporting, and identify opportunities to scale proactive outreach through both automated and human-led solutions.
Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive team that champions safer gambling innovation, embeds data-driven practices into daily operations, and contributes to OLG’s broader EDI and player health strategies.
