Job Description:

Provides leadership for a business unit or function with revenues typically between $100,000 and $400,000, including the oversight of its financial and quality performance. Ensures increased revenue and growth through complex organizational planning, program development, increased market share, business strategy and improved performance. Aligns programs and services with Allina’s mission, vision, values and strategies.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for organizational strategic planning, growth and business development.
  • Design and implements strategies and initiatives to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Establish a systematic process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating actions when adding or deleting services.
  • Oversees the design of technological and system solutions to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Accountable for setting and meeting budget and productivity targets.
  • Manages the budget process, plans revenues and cash flow to ensure financial viability.
  • Monitors key financial indicators and addresses variances.
  • Participates in the development of long-range plans for capital expenditures and resources based on the business plan, operational needs, and the safety of patients and staff.
  • Ensures contracts and contracting processes are up-to-date and in compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Manages employees and holds them accountable for role responsibilities, competencies, individual performance and goals.
  • Supports the recruitment, interviewing, hiring and onboarding process.
  • Provides oversight to the ongoing coaching, assessment, training and education of staff.
  • Responsible for the engagement of employees and contributing to annual engagement plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, Business Administration, Management, Finance, Healthcare Administration or other Healthcare related field
  • 5+ years of progressive health care operations experience
  • 5+ years of health care management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree


Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required if work in state of MN and applicable based on degree

  • Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required if work in state of WI and applicable based on degree

Pay Range

Pay Range: $67.22 to $93.00 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience and education. Additional incentives may be available, including discretionary monetary bonuses, goal-based bonuses, and other financial incentives.
