Prudential’s Group Insurance business delivers a comprehensive suite of group life, disability, supplemental health, and ancillary products to institutional clients throughout the U.S. As part of our ongoing transformation and growth initiatives, we are expanding our product offerings and investing in innovative value-added services.

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Value-Add Services to lead the strategy, execution, and growth of our value-added service portfolio. This role will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, leading cross-functional teams, expanding value add offerings across products, overseeing service delivery, and executing new partnerships. The Director will report to the VP of Life and Disability Product and collaborate with key stakeholders across Product, Distribution, Operations, Technology, and external partners to deliver differentiated solutions and drive business results.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for the delivery and execution of value-add services across Group Insurance products.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand value add services to new products and market segments.
  • Oversee vendor management, including selection, negotiation, onboarding, performance monitoring, and relationship management.
  • Identify, establish, and manage partnerships to enhance the value proposition of Group Insurance offerings.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement of value-add services, focusing on customer experience and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Product, Distribution, Operations, and Technology teams to align value add initiatives with business objectives and go-to-market strategies.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for value-add service initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, risks, and opportunities for value-add services.
  • Lead change management, training, and communications for internal and external stakeholders related to value-add services.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategy and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain business cases and cost-benefit analyses for new and existing value add initiatives.
  • Represent the Group Insurance business in external meetings, partnership discussions, and industry forums as needed.

Leadership, Experience & Expertise:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Group Insurance, employee benefits, or related field, including at least 3 years in vendor management and partnership execution.
  • Proven experience in people management, including team leadership, coaching, and performance development.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategies to expand and integrate value add services across products.
  • Strong experience in service delivery management, process improvement, and customer experience enhancement.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate successfully with executive leaders across a matrixed organization.
  • Data-driven decision maker; able to leverage market, customer, and operational insights to guide strategy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience managing complex projects and change initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $152,500.00 to $206,200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
