Role and Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Director of Product Strategy for Samsung Health will report to the Head of U.S. Digital Health Strategy and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Samsung’s digital health offerings.  In this role, you will develop comprehensive product strategies that align with Samsung’s broader digital health business goals.  Acting as the connective tissue between business strategy, user insights, market research, and product management, you will translate business vision into clear, actionable product strategies that guide product roadmaps, partnership priorities, and portfolio decisions.  This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who combines business acumen with product knowledge and thrives at the intersection of innovation, cross-functional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Guide Strategic Direction:  Partner with executive leadership to define the strategic direction of Samsung Health’s product portfolio, ensuring alignment with long term business and partnership goals
  • Market Intelligence:  Synthesize consumer, market, and technology trends to identify emerging opportunities and gaps in Samsung Health’s product portfolio
  • Product Strategy Development:  Develop clear and comprehensive product strategies, value propositions, and prioritization frameworks that guide product managers and design teams
  • Business Translation:  Translate business strategy into product level objectives, positioning, and success metrics
  • Cross-Functional Alignment:  Partner with product management, UX, marketing, and engineering to ensure strategy translates effectively into roadmaps and feature prioritization
  • Communication and Influence:  Develop compelling executive level narratives and business cases for new offerings, articulating a clear point of view that drives alignment and decision making
  • Strategic Liaison:  Function as the US product strategy lead and key liaison to Korean cross-functional counterparts

Candidate Characteristics

  • Passionate about transforming health and healthcare by tackling the biggest challenges and barriers to progress
  • Organized, detailed oriented, goal driven, and achievement focused with a can-do attitude
  • Highly collaborative with an approach and ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders towards a shared goal
  • Experience working in multi-lingual or global product environments
  • Able to function independently while driving close aligned with the US and Korean teams
  • Thrives in a highly dynamic and ambiguous work environment while balancing the strategic and tactical

Qualifications / Skills

  • MBA degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 12+ years of experience in product strategy, business strategy, or product management—preferably in consumer digital health, wearables, or mobile platforms
  • Proven track record of developing product strategies that led to measurable growth, engagement, or market leadership
  • Strong analytical, communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, product, and marketing teams
  • Deep understanding of digital health trends, regulatory context, and the evolving role of AI in the wellness and healthcare markets

Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York, NY, is expected to be between $220,000 ~ $250,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
