Summary:

The Director of Market Expansion, Managed Care will play an instrumental role for Florida Cancer Specialists managed care sales strategy and pipeline development. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales strategy / plan to drive revenue growth and market share for managed care contracts, value-based agreements, and ancillary services in the Florida market. Additionally, this role will explore and pursue MSO/ACO managed care prospects. The Director of Market Expansion, Managed Care will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and pursue new opportunities, negotiate contracts, and achieve revenue targets that will position Florida Cancer Specialists to meet and surpass business expectations that contribute to the company’s goals and growth plan. This role will be responsible for facilitating a smooth handoff of sales to execution to ensure successful implementation of contracts and achievement of financial goals. Must have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable reaching out to all potential customers to build a broad network of partnerships to promote our practice and programs Florida Cancer Specialists has to offer.

PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase revenue and market share for managed care contracts, value-based care agreements, MSO/ACO managed care partnership, and ancillary services (including PBM contracting).
  • Ownership of sales pipeline for prospects, from lead generation to contract execution, ensuring pipeline meets goals/targets, providing monthly updates on progress and fostering alignment.
  • Prepare presentations on programs and services to present to future and existing partnerships, with a message that is aligned and consistent for Florida Cancer Specialists and medically integrated services (Rx to Go, Lab) value proposition to external managed care partners.
  • Contributes to build of scalable, performance based, managed care broad market access strategies.
  • Develops and manages new and current managed care “pull through” initiatives, owning sales to execution process, cross-functionally coordinating resources and timelines with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to optimize patient care pathways and clinical outcomes to support success of programs.
  • Use of OKR’s that drive clear strategic partnership opportunities, ensuring that goals are clear and concise and align with Florida Cancer Specialists vision and priorities.
  • Assure contractual arrangement meet financial targets and legal/regularly compliance requirements.
  • Work with internal teams to maintain key dates, such as expiration, auto renewal, and early termination options to allow managed care team to make thoughtful contracting decisions.
  • Gather feedback from customers/prospects and share with internal teams, collaborating cross departmentally with other teams to achieve better results.
  • Assists in establishment of cadence of payer and PBM QBR’s, JOC’s, and strategy meetings.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:

Minimum education requirement to successfully perform in role (high school diploma or equivalent being the minimum requirement across all positions within FCS).

  • Bachelor’s degree Required OR 10 years Managed Care Experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum experience requirements to successfully perform in role – be specific, must have some requirements not “preferred” -

  • Minimum of 5 years managed care experience.
