Director - Electrical is a leader that oversees and guides a company's electrical engineering department. This role requires a personable candidate with experience in the design of electrical and technology systems for distribution systems for commercial and educational facilities including power and lighting design, technology systems, equipment specification, equipment selections, and layout. The candidate should have strong inter-personal skills. An aggressive, client oriented personality with a knack for creative problem solving will succeed in this position.

Your Impact:
- Electrical Engineering Director directs overall electrical engineering operations and strategy within an organization.
- Develops policies and procedures for electrical design.
- Reviews and approves new or revised designs and drawing standards.
- Ensures engineering projects are appropriately staffed and project objectives are achieved.
- Provides professional development opportunities to engineers.
- Possesses extensive engineering experience and knowledge.
- Reports to senior management.
- Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.
- Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- A minimum of 10-12 years of work experience with an AEC or engineering consulting firm.
- 10 years of engineering or related engineering experience
- B.S. Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related construction related industry.
- Professional Engineering license.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD (strong Revit experience preferred).
- Physical ability and willingness to conduct site inspections and observe fieldwork.
- Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
