SCHEDULE
This is a hybrid schedule with both in office and remote work, depending on business need.

Compliance Oversight and Strategic Leadership
Lead the development and execution of the compliance advisory program, ensuring timely, practical regulatory guidance is provided to business units and support functions.
Oversee the Compliance Training Program, ensuring enterprise-wide delivery of engaging, role-specific, and risk-aligned content.
Strategically lead the Fair and Responsible Banking Program, including oversight of UDAAP, UDAP, fair lending (e.g., ECOA, HMDA), and member equity initiatives.
Provide compliance impact assessments and advisory support to the project management office (PMO) and other enterprise change initiatives, ensuring new products, services, and technology implementations align with applicable regulatory requirements and compliance risk expectations.
Ensure member fairness, accessibility, and ethical treatment are embedded throughout compliance activities.
Provide input into the design and maturation of the credit union’s CMS to ensure it meets evolving regulatory and operational requirements.
Regulatory Compliance and Exam Management
Serve as a subject matter expert on key consumer protection regulations (e.g., UDAAP, FCRA, TILA, RESPA, MLA, ECOA).
Partner with Legal and business leaders to review and advise on products, services, campaigns, and business changes.
Support preparation for regulatory exams, internal audits, and serve as a lead contributor for areas under advisory, training, or consumer compliance.
Collaborate with the VP of Compliance Risk on regulatory inquiries and supervisory communications.
Team Leadership and Execution
Lead a team of compliance managers overseeing advisory services, fair and responsible banking, compliance testing, and training.
Set clear team goals and KPIs while promoting accountability, development, and cross-functional collaboration.
Foster a culture of integrity, curiosity, and continuous improvement within the compliance team and broader organization.
Promote talent growth and succession planning through mentoring and ongoing development.
Monitoring and Reporting
Oversee the compliance monitoring and testing program, ensuring independent assessments of controls tied to high-risk regulatory requirements.
Manage the compliance issue validation process, confirming timely and effective remediation of issues from exams, audits, or self-identified gaps.
Lead the annual regulatory compliance risk assessment, evaluating inherent and residual risks across business lines to inform the compliance monitoring plan, training, and advisory focus.
Deliver reporting and insights to the VP of Compliance Risk and other governance bodies, highlighting trends, performance metrics, and emerging risks.
Identify and escalate systemic issues, advising on appropriate remediation strategies in partnership with ERM and business units.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, law, or related field preferred
Typically requires minimum of 8 years related experience, including 5 or more years of direct experience in compliance experience at a regulated financial institution
Demonstrated expertise in fair lending, UDAAP, ECOA, and other key consumer compliance regulations
Strong experience delivering advisory services, managing testing programs, and/or regulatory training.
Experience with large or complex credit unions, banks, or financial institutions
Familiarity with GRC platforms or compliance technology (i.e., Archer, automated testing, LMS)
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
Professional certifications such as CRCMP, CRCM, CAMS, or CCEP
