The Director, Nursing Services (DNS) position oversees academic operations at our Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) site in Lynnwood Washington. The DNS works closely with the academic partner, Pacific Lutheran University, to ensure that programmatic requirements are met and that students are successful and graduate. In this role, you will lead a team of dedicated clinical educators and academic support staff, both administrative and technical. The DNS serves as the face of the program at the Lynnwood site and within the healthcare community. They will be highly motivated to secure student clinical sites and will have a collaborative peer group of DNSs across the nation that share best practices, repositories of policies, procedures, and successful strategies.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, standard business hours, onsite Mon-Fri

What You Will Do:

  • Secure clinical sites for students in the Lynnwood WA area
  • Be onsite daily and serve in any needed capacity
  • Work with the Pacific Lutheran University academic leaders to meet program outcomes
  • Ensure faculty and student compliance with clinical agency requirements.


What You Will Have:

  • An entrepreneurial mindset that considers creative learning environments (clinical sites) for students
  • A sense of neutrality in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Consultative approach to problem-solving, focusing on buy-in and leading through influence
  • Bachelor's in nursing Required
  • Master's in nursing preferred, MBA or MS in related field
  • WA RN Licensure 
  • Minimum of 7 years of nursing practice with demonstrated evidence of accountability for systems-level outcomes (including management of human resources)
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience (must include clinical teaching) at the baccalaureate or higher nursing level. Inclusion of online teaching experience is strongly preferred
  • NLN Certification as a nurse education (CNE) preferred
