A Merchandising Director helps create omni-channel growth by planning profitable and locally relevant assortments, using a deep understanding of guest shopping behavior, assortment, and innovation. They lead with a strong grasp of the competitive landscape and develop guest-led strategies that translate into clear, actionable plans. You will influence and negotiate with vendors to achieve results and identify gaps and opportunities. Flexibility in responding to business results and the ability to translate financial metrics and data into actionable strategies are critical. You will lead cross-functional teams to drive category results while managing progress toward sales and margin goals. Partnerships with vendors/growers, buyers, category managers, and roundtable partners will guide product development and ensure sourcing aligns with category growth. You will lead a talented group of Buyers, Associate Buyers, and Senior Merchandise Specialists - guiding them to translate strategy into action, optimize sales and margin performance, and strengthen vendor partnerships. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Pricing and Promotion Center of Excellence, Planning, Site Merchandising, the Item Center of Excellence, and other expert partners to support promotional planning across channels.
