Director, Manufacturing Process Engineering

The Opportunity

This Director, Manufacturing Process Engineering leads, oversees, and manages all aspects of global manufacturing projects within ADC. This position will leads a diverse team to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive project execution excellence and governance. This position will provide oversight of ADC manufacturing planning and cashflow management.

What You’ll Work On

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing engineering strategy aligned with ADC’s business goals and growth/cost/sustainability objectives.
  • Orchestrate global financial strategies to drive sustainable and profitable manufacturing operations, including investments in process innovation, aligning technical and financial goals to ensure profitability.
  • Track, evaluate and mitigate geopolitical, economic, and environmental risks that impact global operations, guiding senior leadership in strategic risk assessment and decision-making processes.
  •  Lead global vendor relationships, establishing selection processes aligned with global objectives, negotiating strategic partnerships, and driving effective vendor management throughout the organization.
  • Lead global innovations in reliability engineering, including the use of AI and other technologies to optimize analysis and drive safety, strategically evaluate and maintain asset portfolios, and establish asset management initiatives and supporting practices to support growth and sustainability objectives.
  •  Drive effective cross-functional collaboration (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Finance, Third Party Manufacturing (TPM), Procurement and Legal) across projects and engineering initiatives, developing best practices in communication, collaboration, and ways of working.
  •  Develop and maintain cross-divisional and cross-industry relationships, integrating insights from other divisions and industries to improve engineering practices that support an optimal customer experience.
  • Establish and nurture strategic alliances with global industry leaders and partners, establishing thought leadership and influencing industry direction to support ADC’s vision.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of engineering professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful project execution and governance according to ADC policy and procedures.
  • Develops and maintain a talent management strategy leading to a sustainable pipeline of quality talent according to current / future needs and organizational strategy, including the development of high potential talent, the proactive development of future-ready technical and other specializations, and investment in future leaders.
  •  Foster cross-industry collaborations to drive technological advancements and develop global best practices.
  •  Lead a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation and operational excellence throughout the global engineering function.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or closely related discipline
  • 10+ years experience in engineering, project management and/or operational expertise
  • Experience in leading multi-discipline technical teams running complex projects and/or processes.
  • Experience in managing projects and programs in large matrix organizations involving cross-site, cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven track record in championing and driving improvements into manufacturing processes. to improve quality and drive OEE.
  • Strong financial acumen and experiencing influencing Senior leadership.
  • A career history marked by a consistent series of significant contributions and accomplishments.
  • Demonstrated and been recognized for excellence in breadth and depth of knowledge in global project / program management.
  • Experience in various functional areas such as manufacturing, quality, supply chain, etc.
  • Overall ability to integrate engineering into a partner with global business needs.
  • Interacts well with diverse groups across divisions and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
  • Embraces and effectively supports business strategies with ability to communicate them throughout the organization in a compelling manner.
  • Works well with other experts and leaders within the division(s) in a collaborative, fast[1]paced goal-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to present and get buy in of upper management for major programs.
  • Supervisory experience of both exempt and large non-exempt staffs

The base pay for this position is

$147,300.00 – $294,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
