Director / Manager, Services Business Development (Financial Services)

Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services.
As a member of our Services sales team, you will be on the frontlines - building excitement and generating demand for our unique services - while partnering with solutions experts to achieve the desired end. As a Services Business Development Director / Manager, you will lead business development and sales for Mastercard Services mainly focusing on major FI clients as well as new and established fintech players in France.
We have the flexibility to hire for this role on Director or Manager level, the right seniority will be assessed throughout the interview process.
All About The Role
• Develop and execute business development strategies for Consulting, Data and Security Services across assigned Financial Institutions and fintech clients in France, aligning with Mastercard’s growth objectives.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities, leveraging client insights and market dynamics.
• Lead client engagements including discovery sessions, tailored presentations, and strategic pitches that address client needs and showcase Mastercard’s value.
• Support the creation of deal proposals and bids by contributing to solution design, value articulation, and stakeholder alignment.
• Monitor pipeline activity and provide accurate forecasting, while identifying areas for acceleration and improvement.
• Coordinate with internal teams—including delivery, consulting, and subject matter experts—to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
All About You
• Master’s degree required.
• Extensive experience in business development, sales, or consulting within Payments, Financial Services space.
• Strong communication skills in French and English.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and drive sales outcomes.
• Analytical mindset with ability to quantify value and build business cases.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
