As Director of Ambulatory Operations, you will oversee and manage the overall operations for assigned Regional Ambulatory locations. In this role, you will develop budgets, assist with clinical operations, improve patient access, direct team activities and assess non-staff productivity. This role is essential to the coordination and cohesion of the Cleveland Clinic Ambulatory locations, allowing you to make a difference in your community every day.
This position is 100% on site with 24/7 responsibility and travels between all locations. There is no hybrid work in this role.
This position is responsible for the Stow South Geo-Bubble which includes Stow Falls FHC, Stow Falls Peds, Tallmadge Pediatrics, Fairlawn Pediatrics, Akron POB, Hudson, Kent, Summit Cole Eye, White Pond Urogynecology, Green Health and Wellness, Bath H & W suite 208, Uniontown, Wadsworth, Summit Gastro and Belden.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Assist in the development of initiatives aligned with the Clinical institute and enterprise strategies.
- Support the application of Cleveland Clinic operating procedures and communicates with management to ensure understanding and compliance with policies/procedures.
- Direct the selection and placement of new employees, performance evaluations and corrective actions.
- Interpret and communicate policies/procedures and communicate relevant changes.
- Develop and manage departmental operating budgets and educational funding activities and monitor cost variances.
- Identify and lead key department cost management initiatives to achieve quantified results.
- Co-lead in the direction/monitoring of the revenue cycle for the department's professional billing, reimbursement and associated technical centers within department.
- Manage operational areas and identify/drive improvement opportunities in key areas, including patient access, patient experience, service line cost management, quality management, employee engagement and other department functions that support the overall Regional Ambulatory performance.
- Partner with community leaders to support wellness and ensure provided services are aligned with community needs.
- Collaborate with Clinical Institutes and Regional leadership in implementing strategic initiatives within the assigned Regional Ambulatory Operations locations, including institute growth strategies, new practice acquisitions and marketing plans.
- Take responsibility for miscellaneous project work, Continuous Improvement initiatives, all aspects of building operations and Financial Accountability.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or a related field and five years of progressively responsible related work experience, including supervisory experience OR Master’s Degree and three years of experience
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:
- Requires extensive sitting and dexterity to perform work on a PC.
- Requires the ability to walk to attend meetings; must have normal or corrected vision and the ability to verbally communicate to employees and patients.
