What is the opportunity?

As Director, HR Strategy & Enablement you will be part of a team charged with setting the strategic direction for the function, as well as working on an integrated HR and EX strategy. The Director, HR Strategy & Enablement will partner across HR to activate and integrate across strategic initiatives to ensure RBC is positioned for success.

What will you do?

  • Help drive the activation of our HR Strategy and strategic planning process, including building HR’s capabilities as well as assisting in the prioritization of HR initiatives.
  • Lead the development, integration, and alignment of our HR Strategy and EX Strategy.
  • Support the Chief Human Resources Officer and HR Operating Committee with engagement on HR Strategy and other key strategic priorities as well as the preparation of board materials.
  • Builds high-standard presentations, reports, and dashboards to track KPI’s for senior leadership to make data-driven solutions, with particular attention to detail and the interrelation between various strategic objectives and goals across HR.
  • Leads special projects and supports the development of change initiatives and contributes to the development of strategic priorities and short and long-term vision plans.
  • Research and remain an expert on external HR best practice market trends.  .

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or comparable work experience; MBA or post-secondary degrees are a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, or HR advisory with track record of leading and delivering complex projects in an enterprise environment; experience in Employee Experience or Client Experience is a plus
  • Proven history in strategy creation and execution, including in-depth experience and demonstrated success in leading multi-disciplinary initiatives of varying sizes and complexity, efficiently and effectively, ensuring all elements of change are considered, understood, and managed.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills (oral and written) with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to senior audiences.
  • Comfortable and able to navigate and adapt through ambiguity, complexity, and continuous change.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet tight timelines and manage multiple deliverables.
