The PGIM Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team plays a critical role in helping the PGIM executive team understand the global business of PGIM. The team supports the CFO of PGIM and the broader leadership team by providing insight-led financial analysis and forecasting, management reporting, and ad hoc strategic support for the business’ most critical priorities. The FP&A team works across all levels of PGIM and Prudential to identify and assess the underlying drivers of PGIM’s business performance. The Director of Planning and Analysis role is the ideal opportunity for an ambitious and talented candidate to work in a collegial and high performing team and build experience working in the asset management industry directly supporting senior business leaders.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you will do
As a Director, Planning and Analysis, you will be part of PGIM’s FP&A team overseen by the Head of FP&A, with dual-reporting lines into finance and strategy. You will play a critical leadership role within the team, overseeing multiple processes and projects from day one. Key responsibilities include leading the development of a long-term forecast that directly informs the strategic planning within PGIM, as well as driving strategic analyses for the business’ most critical priorities, including scenario planning, M&A, and strategic initiatives. In addition, you will support the ongoing transformation of the PGIM forecast process with new technology solutions to enable more efficient, seamless forecast cycles. These responsibilities will provide you with exposure to PGIM and the asset management industry and position you to develop as a leader within the PGIM finance organization. This will be a highly visible role with significant exposure to senior management across PGIM, where the ability to clearly communicate key findings and recommendations will be critical. You will also have the opportunity to be mentored by PGIM’s senior business leaders and be coached and trained by asset management and strategy experts.
What you can expect
Oversee the development of PGIMs’ consolidated forecast, in partnership with the PGIM businesses and senior leadership
Manage and develop a team of managers and associates
Lead analysis of key financial trends and drivers to enhance data-driven decision making
Drive special projects tied to key PGIM strategic initiatives and M&A deals
Build and deliver high-quality executive presentations with clear and compelling insights
Support new technology initiatives to improve existing processes
Partner with various groups across PGIM and Prudential, including finance, strategy, and investor relations
What you will bring
BA Required with strong academic background
10+ years working in financial services, ideally experience in asset management
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills
Experience leading a team
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Passion for problem solving
Highly collaborative and also works independently
Self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $150,000 to $181,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
