As a Director, Executive Talent Acquisition, leading executive search globally and professional hiring across North and South America in our Fort Worth, TX location, you will be responsible for partnering with senior business and HR stakeholders to manage high-impact recruiting initiatives, including executive-level hiring (Senior Director to C-suite) and overseeing RPO partnerships and service delivery, ensuring alignment with global talent strategies. This role requires a hands-on, collaborative, and strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional talent outcomes that support Alcon’s mission to help people see brilliantly.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Human Resources Executive Committee (HREC) members to understand business needs and deliver global executive search and talent mapping initiatives.
Develop strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders to identify and understand workforce planning needs and proactively build sourcing strategies and talent pipelines aligned with future business needs.
Serve as the subject atter expert with internal stakeholders—including HR, Compensation & Benefits, Legal, Global Mobility, and others—through all stages of the executive search process: identification, assessment, selection, and onboarding.
Oversee full-cycle recruitment for experienced and professional-level roles across North and South America, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with business needs.
Manage RPO relationships and accountabilities, ensuring service delivery, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives are met.
Lead relationships with top global retained executive search firms and manage access to highly specialized candidate pools, identifying go-to partners, as needed.
Serve as a subject matter expert on executive search processes, tools, and best practices. Provide strategic counsel to global leaders and hiring managers.
Lead and develop a high-performing team of recruiters and sourcers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
Build recruiter talent advisory and consultative capabilities to guide leaders to make the best talent decisions.
Ensure recruiters are delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences, ensuring all stakeholders feel valued throughout the recruiting process.
Define, track, and analyze key recruitment metrics to determine the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
Keep abreast of the latest trends in recruitment strategies and job market trends.
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Leverage analytics and industry trends to create and implement talent strategies.
Foster an inclusive and diverse workforce.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
10 Years of Relevant Experience
6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership Experience
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Advanced degree a plus
Experience managing RPO providers
Executive search agency experience
HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:
Experience managing recruitment across North and South America, preferably in a global or matrixed organization.
Experience working with senior leadership to deliver executive recruiting capability.
Proven success in managing recruiting partnerships and executive search partners.
Strong understanding of global talent markets, sourcing strategies, and executive assessment methodologies.
Excellent influencing skills and strong leadership capability to grow and develop teams and increase capability.
Experience working with cross-functional and cross-divisional teams.
Experience in a Global Franchise business model highly preferred.
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of internal and external stakeholders.
This role can be leveled up/down based on experience.
