What is the Opportunity?
This role is part of Group Risk Management (GRM) – U.S. Operational Risk, supporting independent risk oversight and execution of the RBC U.S. Enterprise Issue Management (EIM) Program for the Combined US Operations (CUSO), RBC’s Intermediate Holding Company (RIHC) and branches within the U.S. This role will provide guidance to the lines of business (LoB)s and coordinate with GRM functions in the US and Canada to support the sustainable adoption of the EIM Program.
What will you do?
Responsible for end-to-end execution (design/develop/implement) of US Issue Management Reporting programs
Develop/refine policy and standards documents and appropriate guidance documents and training material to facilitate implementation of Issue Management Reporting programs in the US
Coordinate, as appropriate, with stakeholders at the Enterprise and Lines of Businesses to facilitate alignment across the organization
Develop and implement processes to monitor adherence to applicable policy and standards. Provide periodic reporting to senior management on adherence to policy and standards
Partner with Enterprise to ensure system of record for identified issues remains fit for purpose for US requirements
Design, develop and/or refine aggregated reporting of issues across CUSO for senior management and the board
Collaborate with LoBs and with the Enterprise to enhance issue reporting solutions that can provide insights into the landscape of risk across CUSO
Analyze portfolio of issues to uncover themes. Report on any identified themes
Assist with periodic reviews and requests for information from Internal Audit, US regulators and various stakeholders across Risk organization
Assist with development of ad-hoc presentations for management, formal reviews, and miscellaneous requests
Collaborate with the Enterprise Issue Management Office to drive closer alignment of issue management activities as needed
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial services, program management, finance operations, or related bank regulatory experience.
Proven collaboration skills to drive alignment across key business functions.
