About Exiger

Exiger is a global leader in technology-enabled risk and compliance solutions. Our mission is to make the world a safer and more transparent place to do business. We help corporations and financial institutions surface, assess, and mitigate third-party, counterparty, and supply chain risk through a combination of award-winning technology, deep domain expertise, and high-impact services.

Serving more than 550 customers worldwide—including 150 Fortune 500 companies, global banks, private equity firms, and over 50 government agencies—Exiger delivers trusted intelligence and operational resilience at scale.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an accomplished Director of Business Development to expand Exiger’s Tech-Enabled Services business across the financial services sector. This is a strategic, consultative sales role focused on bringing Exiger’s investigative due diligence, risk intelligence, and managed compliance services to leading banks, private equity firms, asset managers, insurers, and law firms.

You’ll engage directly with senior decision-makers—Chief Compliance Officers, General Counsels, Heads of Risk and Procurement—to help them build programs that protect reputation, meet regulatory expectations, and accelerate responsible growth. Backed by a world-class team of subject-matter experts and technology-driven delivery capabilities, you’ll shape solutions that blend human intelligence with AI-powered data to solve complex client challenges.

This role is ideal for a relationship-builder who thrives on trust-based selling, understands how financial institutions buy risk services, and brings a proven record of consultative success in due diligence or compliance-related offerings.

What You’ll Do

Drive Growth and Relationships

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to grow Exiger’s Tech-Enabled Services revenue within financial institutions.

  • Build and manage long-term relationships with senior executives at private equity firms, banks, asset managers, and insurers.

  • Generate new logo business while expanding existing relationships through cross-selling and account growth.

Consult and Partner

  • Lead discovery conversations to understand each client’s unique risk, compliance, and investigative needs.

  • Partner with delivery and advisory teams to design tailored service solutions spanning due diligence, third-party risk assessments, background investigations, and ESG or cyber-related reviews.

  • Deliver compelling proposals, capability presentations, and value-driven narratives that differentiate Exiger’s offering.

Collaborate and Execute

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in Operations, Marketing, and Finance to ensure smooth client onboarding and satisfaction.

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting in Salesforce.

  • Represent Exiger at industry conferences and client events to deepen market presence and thought leadership.

Contribute to Market Intelligence

  • Monitor emerging trends in financial crime compliance, third-party risk management, ESG, and regulatory enforcement.

  • Provide client and market feedback to shape Exiger’s go-to-market strategies and service innovation roadmap.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7–12 years of experience in business development, with strong hunting and account expansion experience, ideally within risk, compliance, or due diligence services.

  • Proven success selling to financial institutions (private equity, banking, asset management, insurance, or law firms).

  • Deep understanding of compliance domains such as KYC, AML, third-party risk, or investigative due diligence.

  • Strong consultative and interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and trust at senior levels.

  • Track record of managing a personal book of business, exceeding annual revenue targets, and closing six- or seven-figure opportunities.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools for pipeline management and forecasting.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (CAMS, CFE, etc.) a plus.

  • Based in the United States with willingness to travel for key client meetings and events.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Competitive base salary + uncapped commission

  • Additional performance incentives and recognition programs

  • Private medical, dental, and vision benefits

  • 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave

  • Purposeful career development programs with reimbursement for certifications

  • Discretionary Time Off for all employees, with no maximum limits

  • A collaborative, high-performing culture driven by purpose and integrity
