Job Purpose
Reporting into MD Blume Business Solutions, the Director for Audit Risk & Compliance (ARC) provides leadership and direction for the Liberty Blume’s ARC department within Blume Business Solutions (BBS). The primary aim will be to ensure a quality customer service focussed delivery of these products while leading the strategy for expansion into internal and external markets.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide:
Quality customer service for each of the ARC pillars
Optimal efficiency of service for each pillar of the operation; working closely with the technology and transformation team to ensure customer focussed transformation
Management of end to end customer change, carries the voice of the customer into the Blume central transformation team
Deep strategic oversight of operational excellence across the pillars of Blume.
Together with the team across Blume, this role forms the Blume senior leadership team lead by the MD of Blume Business Solutions.
As the Director of ARC you will be critical in delivering the BLUME Operating model and ensure strategic ownership of customer transformation within significant areas. The role also has lead responsibility for growing profitable revenue in these functions across the federation and to third party customers.
You play a key role in delivering the services across our customer and supporting growth in customer value in the ARC area, both with upselling of existing customers and cross selling within the business.

Reporting to the MD of Business Solutions, you will work across Audit Risk & Compliance, split into Internal Audit, IT Audit and SOX compliance. The team will serve large customers across Europe, managing their end to end internal audits, IT and Sox Compliance.
You will be responsible for expanding this customer base and offering compelling cross and up selling solutions. This may require significant travel to European headquarters.
You will be responsible for maintaining key relationships and ensuring consistent dialogue with Liberty Global’s central function where there will be dotted line reporting.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Director of ARC will lead the relevant service offerings across Blume and will be responsible for:
Ensure all internal audit activity complies with relevant country practises
Oversees the planning, execution and reporting of internal audits conducted by the team, while maintaining a formal programme to ensure consistency in audit methodology, tools & documentation
Identifies and prioritises high-risk and emerging risk areas while identifying themes across the organisation, ensuring continuity, controls and governance.
Reviews and approves all internal audit reports prior to presentation to VP & MD of ARC in Liberty Global.
Ensures all findings and recommendations are articulated clearly, actionable and aligned with the respective organisation’s risk appetite.
Champions evolution of audit methods, data points and automation
Closely reviews and implements areas of technology that will enhance efficiency, effectiveness and insight for Internal Audit
Retains the independence of the Internal Audit function and executive management, external auditors and the Audit & Risk committee.
Provides regular updates to the LG Audit committee to identify emerging risks, trends and any outcomes from ongoing audits.
Ensures robust processes are in place for tracking, validating and reporting remediation of findings to the Audit Committee and Senior Leadership for customers, Liberty Global and Liberty Blume.
Prinicpal liaison between internal audit function and Liberty Global VP & MD of ARC.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
University degree with accounting, finance or business administration emphasis or equivalent. Public accounting professional qualification (preferably ACA , ICAEW)
CPA, ACA, CIA, CIPM, CISA or equivalent certifications
Proven delivery in a shared services-like and/or BPO operating model
Excellent leadership, change management and decision making skills.
Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across the company – build bridges.
Ability to be supportive, consultative and collaborative and to work effectively across national boundaries.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to translate complex system terminology into business lexicon and vice versa.
Strong interest in technology and innovation with a keen eye for detail in process improvement and automation
Strong background in budgeting and general accounting
