The Digital Transformation Lead will leverage their deep understanding of technology and their business acumen to enable and accelerate the business priorities for the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) business in Cover My Meds. They build and execute plans to deliver technology and drive adoption to maximize value creation.

Position Description

The Digital Transformation Lead is a "trusted advisor" to 3PL business leaders, to establish and maintain value-driven, strategic relationships, and to proactively manage business demand.  They are passionate students of the business enabling them to be business leaders first, and technology leaders second.  In doing so, they connect Its capabilities to business partners’ individual goals and openly pursue these goals in a confident and constructive manner.

They are relationship builders that acquire the relational capital needed to challenge and shape the IT requests from their business partners.  The Digital Transformation Lead educates and coaches business partners through reframing their view of their business problems, opportunities, and technology needs. They focus on building constructive tension in interactions to push customers out of their comfort zone. They love to debate from a position of facts and data.  Armed with the right information, they are comfortable stepping in to challenging conversations with their business partners with a One Enterprise mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expert: Learn the business to become an expert in Third Party Logistics success drivers and detractors.

Business Value Creation with Technology Solutions: Anticipate business needs and partner with MT service owners to identify technology solutions and ensure there are executed with excellence.

Business Process Analysis: Conduct and oversee business process analysis to transform and improve performance.

Business Cases: Shape and translate business requirements into compelling business cases for executive approval.

Change Management: Facilitate business changes using technology and drive adoption through formal change management processes.

Risk and Benefits Advisory: Advise business leaders on the risks and benefits of using technology to build competitive advantage.

IT Communication: Promote understanding of IT roles and communicate IT services and capabilities.

Performance Metrics: Partner with MT to define and track IT performance metrics, and report on benefits realization and customer satisfaction.

Issue Resolution: Identify, manage, and resolve issues reported by business units.

Technology Selection: Assist in the selection of vendors and software in accordance with IT standards; including facilitating the RFP process.

Minimum requirements:

Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience

Critical skills:

  • Typically has 10 to 15 years of IT and business work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments
  • Experience in strategic planning, business development, or client management
  • Experience with program and portfolio management, business analysis, and organizational change management
  • Broad understanding of the current and emerging technology trends and developments
  • Working knowledge of the health industry, major business processes and key performance indicators is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
  • Solid planning, financial and performance management skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field preferred

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$138,600 - $231,000
