The Senior Project Manager will oversee day-to-day management of key projects, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with Digital Technology strategic objectives. This position demands a dynamic leader capable of managing project interdependencies, budgets, and risks while driving standardization and best practices across the organization. The individual will be responsible for clear and concise communication with internal and external stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for status updates and issue resolution and presenting to executive leadership. Additionally, the Project Manager will develop and leverage relationships across various functional areas to influence and enhance project outcomes, utilizing project management methodologies to navigate and adapt to evolving business priorities.
What You Will Do
Day-to-Day Project Management
Oversees project execution including planning, funding, resource management, and risk mitigation; ensures alignment with project outcomes and timelines.
Drives standardization and governance of best practices, tools (e.g., Planview, Jira Align), and reporting updates while managing prioritization and change impacts.
Demonstrates strong leadership within matrix organizations, manages staffing, budgets, and external consultants, and ensures clear communication of project requirements and rationale.
Communication
Delivers concise, audience-adjusted communications, serving as the single point of contact for updates and issue resolution.
Provides transparent progress updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring deliverables are clear, scoped, and aligned with change management practices.
Relationships & Influence
Builds strong relationships across workstreams, functional organizations, and business units, influencing collaborative workflows.
Promotes the use of digital tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Planview) to enhance transparency and communication.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience.
Experience managing digital technology projects, including software development, IT infrastructure, or digital transformation initiatives utilizing project management methodologies.

Qualifications We Prefer
Experience working in a matrixed organization, especially working across Digital Technology within RTX.
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information clearly and at the right altitude level for the audience; appropriately handle sensitive information.
Experience managing multiple stakeholders and project workstreams.
Experience leading and thriving in a dynamic, collaborative, cross-disciplinary and geographically dispersed environment.
Solid ability to collaborate across multiple workstreams and influence outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business priorities.

Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
