Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector, Digital Engineering Group, is seeking a Digital Electronic Engineer to work on FPGA and ASIC Design across the full product life cycle process. In this capacity, you will utilize your working knowledge of digital signal processing and digital interfaces.

What You’ll Get To Do:

As a developer on this team, the selected candidate will perform technical the design, development and integration & test of digital subsystems, ASIC, FPGA, single board computers and other digital board products.  The candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplined team to architect the technical solution for complicated space payloads.  They will also have the opportunity to interface with internal and external customers and suppliers in this position. This candidate must have good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and good oral and written presentation skills.  This candidate must have a desire to learn, and take on significant challenges.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering with 2 years related experience, or comparable STEM discipline or Master’s Degree with 0+ years related experience

  • Creation and modification of digital logic designs implemented with Xilinx and Microchip FPGA tool sets is a plus

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and approaches

  • US Citizenship

  • No clearance required to start, but must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret or SCI Clearance

  • Knowledge of with full product life cycle (requirements, design, implementation and test) of FPGA Design and/or ASIC

  • Ability to work in teams and communicate clearly across various levels of management and engineers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance

  • Languages: VHDL, Verilog, C/C++, Python

  • Platforms: Linux, Windows

Primary Level Salary Range: $93,900.00 - $140,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
