DevOps Engineer - Application Team, Officer, Onsite

Who we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in IT support or DevOps to join our Application team in São Paulo, Brazil. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting developers, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring seamless deployment processes. This onsite position requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with the development team and manage relationships with local vendors. The main goal is to enhance our DevOps practices and maintain high operational standards.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for

• As a DevOps Engineer, you will take ownership of the implementation and production operations of a diverse range of local and third-party applications.
• Resolve critical production issues in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
• Actively participate in the setup and maintenance of CI/CD scripts, local procedures, application configuration, and environment management.
• Support the development team in system architecture and during the development phase by providing insights, sharing challenges related to the CI/CD pipeline, and offering guidance without directly writing code.
• Provide direct and accountable support for urgent analytical needs.
• Address production deficiencies by continuously implementing automation, self-healing mechanisms, and monitoring for production systems.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• A completed bachelor's degree in any field is required.
• At least 5 years of experience working in IT support or DevOps, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the banking sector.
• An MBA in Project Management or a PMI Certification is required, as the role will likely involve managing some projects.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and processes is essential.
• Fluency in both Portuguese and English is required.

Additional requirements

• Experience in Cloud Computing or completion of a related course is a plus.
• Knowledge of security practices and principles is highly desirable.
