Job Summary
Supervises employees and the technical and administrative functions of the assigned group. Acts as a technical resource for team members. Implements goals consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units to achieve goals.
Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Supervises employees in daily operations.
- Maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests.
- Provides leadership and training.
- Coordinates and provides orientation and education.
- Analyzes workflow and procedures.
- Identifies and implements opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.
- Ensures cross coverage.
- Develops effective work team.
- Encourages and supports morale building activities and positive attitudes.
- Communicates with employees and provides orientation on policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Associate's Degree required.
- Bachelor Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of supervision, training/development and public relations practices.
Certifications:
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to take appropriate action in a stressful environment.
Work Experience:
- Minimum three years supervisory experience.
- Healthcare experience in a large organization preferred.
- Additional years of experience may offset degree requirement.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires dexterity sufficient to operate a computer in the course of work.
- Will require the ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.
- Available 24/7 through an issued pager and cell-phone.

- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
