What will you be doing?
Teach half a course load in a model classroom that demonstrates high-impact instruction, including tight routines, rigorous tasks, equitable discussion, responsive feedback, and strong data use.Open your classroom for lab visits, host live practice cycles, and share exemplars, unit plans, and rubrics to strengthen department-wide practice.
Coach teachers through Plan → Observe → Feedback cycles with clear action steps, modeling, and follow-through.Co-teach and provide actionable feedback to build teacher skill, confidence, and instructional consistency.Lead PLCs focused on standards alignment, assessment quality, student work analysis, and reteach planning.
Use data (interims, exit tickets, and NJSLA blueprints) to guide instructional adjustments and academic interventions.Partner with school leaders to align curriculum, grading, and assessment practices with academic goals.Build a collaborative, reflective department culture rooted in professional trust, shared ownership, and continuous improvement.Celebrate teacher and student success to sustain a joyful, learning-focused team climate.
