Build elegant solutions to complex supply chain problems

The opportunity: 

Flexport’s Fulfillment team ensures that our merchants can scale efficiently while we design smarter ways to store and move goods across the country. As a Demand Planner, you’ll lead critical forecasting, capacity, and planning initiatives that enable the reliability and scalability of our fulfillment network. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Product to align demand with operations, anticipate constraints, and design proactive solutions. Our team thrives on solving complex logistics challenges, and we are looking for a strategic, analytical leader to help us continue pushing the boundaries of efficiency and customer experience.

You will:

  • Build, calibrate, and maintain forecasting models across all fulfillment services 
  • Own the long-term fulfillment network plan and financial forecast to balance supply, demand, and capacity needs
  • Conduct root cause analysis of volume deviations and partner with Operations to identify opportunities
  • Develop scenario plans for changes to operating cost and contracts, demand uncertainty, capacity constraints, and transportation lanes to optimize our fulfillment strategy
  • Lead cross-functional S&OP discussions with senior leadership to align business plans and future investment with fulfillment network capabilities
  • Partner directly with our merchants to solve challenges and proactively find opportunities to improve cost, service, and support the growth of their business

You should have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Analytics, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain management, forecasting, demand planning, or fulfillment operations
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel; strong SQL for data extraction/analysis; familiarity with BI/visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to drive decision-making across functions.
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the posting's respective region. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training. 
The US base salary range for this position (this does not include bonus, equity and benefits):
$78,720$98,400 USD
