In the past Marek has held also an array of positions within areas of Technology Consulting, Forensics Technology Services and Data Analytics.
PwC Czech Republic is actively seeking an experienced Delivery and Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Delivery and Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Client Relationship Management: Maintaining strong working relationships with current clients is essential. Your proactive approach will contribute to client satisfaction and retention.
Development Team Management: Identify and support top individual contributors and entire development teams, leveraging their expertise and reliability through consistent, day-to-day people management.
Competency Leadership: Nurturing a technical guild that brings together experts, facilitates knowledge sharing, and encourages cross-project information exchange.
Market Exploration and Relationship Building: Actively seek new opportunities by exploring untapped markets. Building relationships within these markets will be crucial for business growth.
Market Trends Awareness: Stay informed about market trends and use this knowledge to design service offerings that meet client requirements effectively.
Collaboration with Product Managers and Solutions Architects: You’ll work closely with these teams to deliver projects and products using agile project management methodologies. Frequent learning and iteration are key components of this process.
Roadmap Definition and User Stories: Partnering with the Product Manager, you’ll define the roadmap for each product. Your role involves translating this roadmap into actionable user stories that guide development efforts.
Business Representation: You’ll represent our products from a business perspective to both external stakeholders and internal clients. Effective communication and understanding of business needs are crucial.
Dynamic Planning and Prioritization: Leading the collaborative planning process, you’ll prioritize tasks based on team capacity and capability. This ensures efficient execution of work.
Matrix Management: You’ll oversee a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective coordination and alignment across various functions.
Quality Assurance: It’s your responsibility to ensure that all products meet the appropriate quality standards for their development stage (alpha, beta, or production).
Demonstrated Team Management: Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary Data & AI teams and portfolios, converting PoCs into scalable, production-grade solutions with measurable ROI.
Stakeholder Relationship Management: Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders is crucial. Effective communication and understanding their needs are key. Ability to align data/AI delivery to business KPIs and adoption goals.
Business Development Expertise: Showcase your success in business development activities. This includes creating compelling business cases for new services or offerings.
Domain Familiarity: Practical knowledge of modern data/AI architectures: lakehouse, streaming/event-driven, microservices/APIs, feature stores, vector databases, and RAG patterns.
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): A solid grasp of the software development life cycle is essential. This knowledge will guide decision-making and ensure efficient project execution. Experience adapting SDLC to DataOps/MLOps/LLMOps.
AI/GenAI: Interest in transforming SDLC and standard ways of working to AI-first SDLC. Focus on unlocking business value through AI technology
Agile Methodologies: Experience working with and implementing agile methodologies, required knowledge level of PSPO or PSM level.
Tools and platforms (nice to have):
Cloud data/AI platforms: Azure (Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Azure ML), AWS (S3/Glue/EMR/Redshift/SageMaker), GCP (BigQuery/Dataflow/Vertex AI).
Data engineering: Databricks, Spark, SQL, Python, Airflow, Kafka, Delta.
MLOps/LLMOps: MLflow/Kubeflow, Docker/Kubernetes, feature stores, monitoring, vector DBs (Pinecone/pgvector), LLM/RAG frameworks (LangChain/LlamaIndex), prompt/guardrail tooling.
BI/Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, Looker.
Remote vs Onsite: Hybrid - 2 days in the Prague office, 3 days remote, attendance to regular planning sessions/workshops required
Willingness to Travel: You should be open to travel, with an expected commitment of up to 20%. This allows you to engage with clients, explore new opportunities, and strengthen relationships.
