Job Description & Summary

About our Deals team

PwC Vietnam is well known in the market place for our skill in assisting with mergers and acquisitions (M&A). We focus on the deal continuum from strategy through to post deal integration, including financial, tax, legal, market and operational due diligence, accessing the capital markets and valuing, negotiating and structuring deals.

Join our Deals team to unlock your potential in the dynamic M&A sector. You'll gain exposure to diverse services within Deals and collaborate with industry experts and talented peers. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to work across core teams.

Key Responsibilities

Driven by curiosity, you'll be a reliable and contributing member of a fast-paced team. You'll work on a variety of assignments, each offering unique challenges and scopes to foster your learning and growth. You're encouraged to ask questions, take initiative, and deliver high-quality work that adds value for our clients and supports team success. During your internship, you'll begin building your personal brand, opening doors to future opportunities.

Examples of day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting financial and commercial analysis (e.g., reviewing financial statements, conducting variance analysis).

  • Assisting with due diligence workstreams (e.g., data collection, organizing data room materials, performing document checks).

  • Conducting market and industry research, and consolidating findings into concise briefs.

  • Building and maintaining simple financial models and schedules (e.g., DCF and multiples templates, cash flow bridges).

  • Preparing slides and workpapers for internal reviews and client meetings.

  • Maintaining deliverable trackers, version control, and documentation standards while adhering to confidentiality and risk protocols.

  • Work across Deals core teams and cross-functional projects.

To succeed and deliver value in this role, you'll need:

  • A learning mindset with ownership over your own development.

  • Appreciation for diverse perspectives, needs, and feelings of others.

  • Habits that sustain high performance and help develop your potential.

  • Strong active listening skills, the ability to ask clarifying questions, and clear expression of ideas.

Ideal candidate profiles

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a quantitative field.

  • Foundational knowledge of corporate finance, financial statements, and valuation concepts (e.g., DCF, multiples).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and English communication.

  • Interest in working across Deals core teams and contributing to cross-functional projects.

  • Availability to work full-time for a 3-month internship period.
