Hourly base pay rate is $23.51 - $35.24/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

The Dealer Services Specialist II focuses on building strong client relationships, offering strategic guidance, and providing solutions to meet evolving needs. With a solution-focused approach, the specialist ensures consistent service levels through close coordination with business partners. They lead the sales process coordination, leveraging data to drive successful transactions and educating both clients and colleagues. Exceptional prioritization skills and professionalism are essential to manage client interactions effectively and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Who You Are

You can think on your feet and address issues promptly, maintaining a smooth auction process. You’re committed to following all health and safety procedures and to maintaining strong relationships with dealers.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Represent the dealer sales lane on sale days, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client service. (yes, it’s as cool as it sounds).

  • Promote Manheim’s suite of products and services to enhance dealer success.

  • Assist dealers in preparing vehicles for auction, including in-lane and online listings.

  • Negotiate bids, consult on pricing strategies, and provide reconditioning advice to maximize vehicle value.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor by answering questions, resolving issues, and delivering proactive solutions.

  • Cultivate strong client relationships through personalized communication and tailored strategies.

  • Partner with internal teams (sales, mobile inspections, dealer services, trade desk) to deliver a unified client experience.

  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal business units, ensuring timely resolution of issues with full ownership and follow-through.

  • Utilize market insights, valuation data, and industry trends to provide strategic recommendations for improving dealer sales performance.

  • Conduct personalized coaching sessions to help clients effectively use Manheim tools and comply with marketplace policies.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, prioritization skills, and responsiveness in handling customer care issues promptly.

Minimum:

  • A high school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination of education and experience, such as a degree or certification in a related discipline or 5 years of experience in a related field.

  • A valid driver’s license.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to perform at a high level and adapt within a fast-paced team environment.

  • The ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, perform repetitive tasks

  • Vision requirements include being able to see close, far and in color, judge distances and adapt to changes in focus.

  • Strong verbal and written skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to build strong business relationships

  • Problem solving and de-escalation skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

  • 1 to 3 years of auction experience or 2 to 4 years of dealership experience.

  • Previous experience in sales support role.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
