Job Description

As the Rare and Rare-like franchises DD&T Program Manager, you will support and drive delivery of the portfolio of Data, Digital, and Technology initiatives aligned to enable the US Rare and Rare-like franchises Business Unit by ensuring that all contributing teams across Takeda as well as external partners are aligned and integrated into a cohesive program plan. Join Takeda as a Rare and Rare-like franchises DD&T Program Manager where you will range in size and complexity and will include work on commercial data and analytics solutions & platforms, field force technologies, as well as digital marketing enablement. As part of the USBU DD&T team you will report to DD&T Lead USBU and work with key stakeholders.

How you will contribute:

  • Support (and lead) DD&T-Business partnership activities on Core Launch Teams for rare and rare-like products, driving readiness across digital marketing, CRM, analytics, and data infrastructure. Collaborate with brand, sales, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless commercialization support.

  • Alongside the DD&T Lead, manage integrated digital project plans aligned with brand launch timelines, including vendor onboarding, data feed setup, and dashboard development. Track dependencies across SP, SD, PS, and claims data sources, ensuring timely delivery and risk mitigation.

  • Partner with technology product owner(s) and DD&T business partners to contribute to the technology product backlog related to brand launch needs for digital marketing, CRM, and insights & analytics solutions.

  • Lead select RFPs, contracting, and onboarding for business-prioritized, launch critical platforms and technology solutions. Ensure SLAs are aligned with launch KPIs and reporting needs.

  • Attend meetings as directed by DD&T Lead as support or as delegate to represent DD&T function.

  • Contribute to long-term DD&T strategy & operational excellence by identifying emerging data needs, evaluating vendor capabilities, and informing budget planning. Document lessons learned and apply insights to future launches.

  • Promote and communicate DD&T operating model and principles for governance as well as capabilities of technology and data products.

  • Understand therapies and brand strategies connecting DD&T strategy for enabling them.

  • Strong experience in IT product and program management.

  • Good understanding of pharma and new product launch.

  • Leadership decision-making, autonomy, and self-directed stakeholder engagement.

  • Problem solver, overseeing a portfolio of multiple initiatives while building and leveraging relationships to support business and project/program goals.

  • Champion the adoption and integration of digital and AI-powered tools across the organization to drive business outcomes.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required; advanced degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration, or Life Sciences is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, 3+ yrs in project or program management.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and innovation, with proven ability to execute data strategies for commercial brands in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

  • Strong stakeholder alignment and business needs analysis. Manage translation of brand strategies to DD&T requirements and managing execution.

  • Prior experience working with and managing third-party service providers preferred.

  • Experience directly & routinely interacting with a business unit brand, operational colleagues, and global enablement leadership.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to building trust, listen, and ask effective questions.

  • Experience with AI technologies, data science, and machine learning applications in a commercial setting.

  • Interest in technology trends and application of technology to improve end user’s experience.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and/or proficient in project management practices, portfolio review, finance, and budgeting.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$137,000.00 - $215,270.00


The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives.
