DBA Service Delivery Leader

Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptional DBA Service Delivery Manager to lead our global database services delivery organization for a strategic 3-year client engagement. This pivotal role will oversee the comprehensive onboarding and ongoing service delivery of logical/application database management services across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. You will manage relationships with customer business teams, DXC application teams, customer Infrastructure DBAs, and coordinate a global VSDBA team spanning the US, Mexico, and Philippines to deliver world-class database services that directly impact business-critical applications.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Leadership

  • 12+ years in enterprise database management with progressive leadership experience

  • 5+ years managing multi-client database operations in complex stakeholder environments

  • 3+ years experience with global team management across multiple geographic regions

  • Proven success leading database services delivery in application-focused environments

  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and multi-stakeholder coordination

Technical Foundation

  • Deep expertise in logical/application database management across multiple DBMS platforms

  • Strong understanding of database performance optimization, including query tuning and indexing strategies

  • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (New Relic preferred) and database management platforms

  • Knowledge of data modeling tools (ER Studio preferred) and enterprise repository management

  • Understanding of ETL processes, data integration, and cross-application database coordination

  • Familiarity with cloud database platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments

Service Management Excellence

  • Extensive experience with ITIL processes and service delivery frameworks

  • Proven ability to implement and optimize ServiceNow for database service delivery

  • Demonstrated success in managing complex SLAs and contractual commitments

  • Experience with performance metrics development and KPI management

  • Strong background in incident, problem, and change management for database operations

Client Relationship & Communication

  • Exceptional executive communication skills with ability to facilitate complex stakeholder discussions

  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate technical database concepts into business value and strategic outcomes

  • Demonstrated success managing complex client relationships and leading organizational change initiatives

  • Experience facilitating collaboration between business teams, technical teams, and vendor organizations

  • Cultural sensitivity and experience leading relationships across global time zones

  • Proven ability to drive consensus and decision-making in multi-stakeholder environments

Industry Knowledge

  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Experience with database security best practices and audit requirements

  • Knowledge of capacity planning and resource optimization in enterprise environments

  • Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies

  • Understanding of application development lifecycle and database change management

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $92,000 - $171,000.
