Database Analyst II (SQL/ Python)

About the Role

As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our data infrastructure. You’ll work with a variety of modern data technologies to build scalable solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using tools such as ADF, Spark, and SQL.
  • Support and enhance existing data workflows and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Implement data modeling strategies for warehousing and lakehouse environments.
  • Perform data transformations using Python/PySpark and SQL.
  • Integrate data from various sources including APIs and RESTful services.
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes using Git and related tools.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followed.

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in SQL (Microsoft, Oracle, or similar).
  • Experience with Spark and ADF.
  • Familiarity with data formats such as JSON and CSV.
  • Strong understanding of the Big Data lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with Python or PySpark.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with storage solutions like Azure Storage Accounts or S3 buckets.
  • Understanding of database administration principles.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Redshift.
  • Knowledge of KQL, DAX.
  • Exposure to Power BI for data visualization.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
