Summary:

The Data Integrity Analyst supports system-wide provider credentialing operations by managing, optimizing, and safeguarding the credentialing database and related applications. This role leads data governance activities, administers system enhancements, drives process improvements, and delivers reporting and analytics to support operational decision-making. The position serves as the subject matter expert and liaison between Medical Staff Services, IT, and software vendors to ensure accurate, secure, and high-quality credentialing data.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  • 2+ years in credentialing operations and 5+ years managing IT/software applications is required.

Data Integrity and Analysis

  • Manages the integration and optimization of the credentialing software system

  • Ensures the security, integrity, and confidentiality of the data housed within the credentialing database in accordance with system and/or hospital policies

  • Influences and leads technology integration and migration with other information systems

  • Diagnosis of failures and problem resolution for issues encountered in Credentialing software and related technologies

  • Confer and act as Liaison with Credentialing Software Vendor and Cook Children’s Information Technologies Department to address system support issues and escalations

  • Test all application implementations/enhancements prior to release to users

  • Develop data entry and credentialing software operational policies, procedures, and forms in concert with MSS Manager and Director

  • Participate and/or lead complex data projects by developing and documenting system processes and tasks

Training & Technology Optimization

  • Validates data and maintains data dictionaries for all systems and supports all users by providing education, ongoing assistance, reference and troubleshooting

  • Develop and update policies and procedures to support organizational practices and maintain compliance

  • Develop, build and maintain all applications within the Credentialing Software as upgrades and new functions are released

  • Train Users on new credentialing software features and updated data entry processes

Reporting

  • Primary contact for all reporting within the department and outside customers.

  • Build, analyze and prepare reports and dashboards as requested for activities occurring within supported applications

  • Collaborates with key staff on managing an ongoing reporting process that is accurate, timely and action driven

  • Audit and troubleshoot data integrity issues and lead and/or participate in data cleanup projects.
