As a Data Consultant in the Modernization unit of Human Resource Services, you will perform a variety of duties in support of Benefits and other HCM functions within Workday. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, your responsibilities will include:
Processing, managing, and auditing large datasets.
Conducting data validation and reconciliation.
Researching process improvement options and recommending changes in procedures.
Interpreting and applying organization policy.

This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
This position eligible for remote work with the United States of America. Washington State University's hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Pacific Standard Time). This position offers flexibility in the assigned work schedule; however, the successful candidate must be available and engaged during the majority of our standard operating hours to ensure effective collaboration and support of team and client needs.
Monthly Salary:
$3,840 to $5,137 | Range 43 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree including college-level course work in statistics and/or mathematics AND one (1) year of experience manipulating and auditing large data sets and evaluating data sets to support business decisions OR equivalent education/experience.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, policies, and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to interact with large groups and individuals at all work levels.
Experience cultivating an environment where all individuals are treated with value and respect.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and software applications.
A record showing commitment to customer service and the application of appropriate flexibility in response to issues and opposing points of view.
