As a Data Analyst you will shape the future of the Global Content Org, providing them with actionable insights. You will be combining your quantitative analysis and data mining skills with insights that will drive team operations, strategy, and content producer insights. You will collaborate with global teams on a wide array of  business problems with a diverse set of cross-functional partners across Product Marketing, Business Operations, and Marketing. The results of your work will influence team efficiency and operations, identify actionable opportunities, and drive key initiatives, turning your insights and analyses into practical tools for the Content team.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Synthesize large amounts of data from disparate sources and communicate the results in a clear and effective manner to various technical and non-technical audiences
  • Provide timely insights on trends influencing the content ecosystem and performance against goals
  • Leverage internal ETL/ELT tools to build and maintain foundational datasets 
  • Drive efficiency by designing, building, and maintaining dashboards and automated reporting to help drive business reviews and decision making
  • Work collaboratively with various cross-functional teams and proactively seek and incorporate feedback into deliverables

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in business and data analytics in a highly analytical environments such as tech companies, management consulting, sales
  • Fluency in SQL and hands-on experience with visualization tools like Tableau or Looker. Bonus points for experience in Python (or similar scripting languages), but not required
  • ETL/ELT experience with tools like dbt, airflow or similar
  • Experience analyzing data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, building dashboards and tools with ability to to solve real-world problems on web-scale data
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain learnings to both technical and non-technical partners 
  • A team player who’s able to builds effective working relationships with internal clients to turn insights into actions

In-Office Requirement Statement: 

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • Our PinFlex future of work philosophy requires this role to visit a Pinterest office for collaboration approximately 1x per quarter. For employees not located within a commutable distance from this in-office touchpoint, Pinterest will cover Travel Expenses.
