Cyber Intelligence Laureate

Remote - Anywhere - USA Full time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly accomplished cybersecurity leader with over 15 years of combined experience in cybersecurity leadership, Cyber Intelligence / Cyber Counterintelligence, law enforcement, and/or national security. This role is an individual contributor and ideal for a strategic and operational leader who excels in high-stakes environments, has a proven track record of building public-private partnerships, and can drive cross-functional cybersecurity teams to achieve the mission.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Advisory

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the CISO and members of the cyber leadership team.
  • Support the CISO in predictive and proactive threat modeling for diverse geolocations and geopolitical risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with cyber private/public partners to best prioritize the company’s cyber investments, capitalize on shared opportunities, and strengthen shared intelligence.
  • Partner with the law department and government relations to further cyber partnerships and the cyber community.

Operational Excellence & Program Management

  • Identify and recommend alternate tactics and strategies when Cyber priorities are at risk or when operations are inefficient.
  • Assess, recommend processes, and or adjust resource allocations that enable effective operational visibility across all cyber teams for the collective defense and reduction of the company’s attack surface.
  • Establish, maintain, and conduct threat briefings on both tactical threats (e.g. Advance Persistent Threat actors Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) and strategic threats (e.g. criminal organizations, hacktivists, and national states) to the company’s footprint, non-profit Industry, higher education sector, and countries of business (e.g. USA, UK, etc.).
  • Provide recommendations to strengthen Insider Threat, physical security, and support the appropriate integration with cybersecurity and Human Resources.

Public-Private Partnerships & External Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key federal, state, local, and international law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
  • Actively participate in public-private partnerships to enhance threat intelligence sharing, incident coordination, and strategic collaboration.
  • As needed represent the company in industry forums, regulatory engagements, and cybersecurity policy discussions.
  • Partner with key industry organizations and thought leaders to support the company’s efforts to strengthen cyber awareness and risk management in various industries like K-12, Higher Education, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity and/or intelligence/counterintelligence.
  • Solid expertise in at least two or more of the following: Insider threat, intelligence/counterintelligence/Human Intelligence (HUMINTE), incident response, digital forensics, and/or cybercrime investigations.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain public-private relationships across law enforcement, government, and industry sectors.
  • Strong understanding of global cybersecurity threats including criminal, hacktivists, and nation state actors.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • One or more relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, SANS, HUMINT
  • Ability to deliver work that meets all minimum requirements of security, quality and operability.

Preferred Attributes

  • US Military or US government background in cyber related experience.
  • Active or recent holder of at least a US Secret clearance.
  • Foreign / overseas cyber intelligence experience.
  • Experience with US legal authorities at various levels.

The starting base pay is $150,400.00 to $204,100.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
