The role:
Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and/or business knowledge and functional custody expertise. Focus of the role is on oversight of the custody serving relationship, in the areas within the remit of Custody Client Service Specialist (CCST) EMEA. Co-ordinates and delivers on the most complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues. Consistently displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, engaging with senior stakeholders to drive meaningful change for both the business and our clients.
Responsibilities:
Understand the needs of your clients and influence senior stakeholder forums internally to champion their requirements, resulting in impactful change.
Responsible for building rapport and relations with key client contacts to better understand their needs and priorities.
Senior point of consultation for any complex or ambiguous issues that require senior focus and/or escalation.
Lead discussions with senior CSST management to coordinate cross-client change initiatives.
Dissect problems using qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, abstract thinking and root-cause analysis when required.
Drive change through identifying product and process gaps; effectively prioritising and aligning resources.
Build and maintain relationships with business unit and functional leaders, their teams, and members. Market Custody Client Services Business Unit initiatives and be able to influence across various levels.
Contribute to the development of key business unit and corporate strategies on growth, brand, shared services, and new business models.
Participate in the development and enforcement of controls within the functions of the business unit. Engage with control and other business units to ensure that the control and risk environment in the unit is at the highest possible level and that the business is not accepting any undue risk.
Skills and experience:
In depth knowledge of Global Custody and Securities Services, gained through 15+ years’ financial service industry experience, including product and operating model expertise
Good understanding of technology, digital development and industry trends in securities services
Proven track record of managing senior stakeholders to align on required business outcomes, being able to influence and negotiate as needed, preferably within Custody.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Demonstrable technical skills and ability to build systems knowledge is required
