Location: Hybrid.  The candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% to meet client needs.  Candidates located within 25 miles of a DXC office are required to work onsite two days per week.  Preferred locations: Plano, TX · Detroit/Farmington Hills, MI · Nashville, TN · New York City, NY · New Orleans, LA · Ashburn, VA · Tulsa, OK

Role Summary: The CSM Industry Portfolio Leader - Public Sector drives profitable growth, client satisfaction, and operational excellence across a defined portfolio of accounts managed by a team of Client Success Managers (CSMs). This leader ensures strategic alignment, execution discipline, and financial accountability while collaborating closely with Sales, Delivery, and Advisory teams to deliver measurable business outcomes within the industry portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Industry Business Plan

  • Develop and execute the industry business plan aligned with AMS strategy to achieve revenue growth, margin improvement, and client satisfaction goals.
  • Partner with the Sales organization to ensure alignment across planning, forecasting, and execution.

Delivery Excellence & Operational Efficiency

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all accounts.
  • Implement best practices, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage workforce and talent engagement, including skill development across CSM teams.

Revenue & Growth

  • Support account planning, renewals, and expansion activities.
  • Drive sub-$5M pipeline development and closures.
  • Collaborate with CES Sales to pursue large renewals and new opportunities within the portfolio.

Client Management

  • Ensure fulfillment of contractual and SLA commitments across all accounts.
  • Strengthening client relationships and improving CSAT/NPS scores.

P&L Management

  • Oversee financial performance including forecasting, margin improvement, and achieving financial goals.

People Leadership

  • Lead and inspire a team of CSMs. Promote strong leadership, engagement, and career development.
  • Build a culture of accountability, inclusion, and performance excellence.

Innovation & AI

  • Collaborate with Advisory, Offering, and CVC innovation leaders to bring AI/GenAI-driven initiatives to clients.
  • Support customers’ business outcomes through innovation integration and digital transformation initiatives.

Performance Metrics

Business & Financial

  • Timely submission and approval of the industry business plan.
  • Industry YoY revenue growth (%) and margin improvement (%).
  • Forecast accuracy and budget attainment.
  • TCV won and sub-$5M pipeline performance.
  • Win rate (%) and CM% improvement vs AMS average.

Delivery & Client

  • On-time, on-budget delivery (%).
  • SLA/KPI compliance.
  • Resource utilization and constant billing rate (%).
  • CSAT/NPS scores and client retention/renewal rate (%).

People & Engagement

  • Employee engagement survey results.
  • Attrition rate (voluntary/involuntary).
  • Successor identification and development for key roles.

Innovation Integration

  • Percentage of portfolio accounts leveraging AI/GenAI or innovation-driven offerings.
  • Improvement in NPS/CSAT where strategic initiatives were deployed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Public Sector and/or Aerospace & Defense Industry
  • Exceptional client relationship, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills at all levels of the organization
  • Proven record of managing large, multi-account portfolios with financial accountability.
  • Strong understanding of managed services, cloud, and enterprise solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving transformation, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Exceptional client relationships, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.
