Critical Facilities Technician-Haarlem

Iron Mountain is seeking a dedicated Critical Facilities Technician to join our Data Centre team, providing technical and facility support in a 24x7 data center environment. This full-time shift role is responsible for the maintenance and oversight of critical electrical, HVAC, civil, and building management systems. You must be self-motivated, possess a strong sense of urgency, and be dedicated to supporting your team, our customers, and IMDC’s vision.

What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)

  • Take ownership of our critical power, cooling/environmental, security & support systems and facilities to meet or exceed uptime service levels.

  • Perform limited maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the data center's heating and cooling systems and overall facility.

  • Monitor, resolve, and update all assigned service tickets using a ticketing system, including trouble tickets and customer installations of electrical and physical equipment.

  • Ensure the safety of the environment and occupants by adhering to all safety procedures and proactively identifying and resolving issues.

  • Permit and monitor contract vendors, assisting in arranging access and creating work authorizations/changes for internal works or for vendors.

What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to understand and follow documented, process-driven safety codes and procedures.

  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills to manage time and work efficiently and on time with minimal supervision.

  • Proven ability to multi-task across several different systems to manage ticket queues and work tasks that can change throughout the day.

  • Customer service mentality and a dedication and desire to learn and grow your career within Iron Mountain.

  • Experience Requirement: Experience in a critical operations environment and/or data center experience is preferred, but not required.
