About the role 
You will be a strategic and technical leader responsible for the successful introduction of new products (NPI) and the execution of critical cost savings. You will directly manage the Assembly and Final Test NPI teams, ensuring that all new products are capable, stable, and manufacturable, and driving significant reduction in product Bill of Materials (BOM) costs.
What You Will Do
1. New Product Introduction (NPI) Leadership 
- Lead NPI Team: Manage and direct the Assembly/FT NPI team to execute new product development projects in close partnership with the Business Group (BG).
- Production Handover: Own the process for qualifying new products, ensuring a seamless and efficient handshake and handover to the Operation team for mass production.
- Technical Performance KPI: Drive the team to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for product qualification, ensuring that all processes are CAPABLE, STABLE, and MANUFACTURABLE as defined by: CPK Performance (Process Capability Index). Quality and Reliability standards.
2. Cost Savings initiatives
- Cost Savings Program Management: Lead and execute the cost saving project.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate closely with the Procurement and Operation teams to identify, qualify, and integrate alternate suppliers and components.
- Market Benchmarking: Establish and maintain a continuous benchmarking process to assess market-available BOM components and materials, determining suitability for deployment.
3. Team Leadership & Development
- Management: Directly manage a sizable team.
- Technical Coaching: Provide direct technical guidance and coaching to the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Talent and Culture: Build strong teamwork and make people development a crucial, core focus under your leadership role.
- Project Management & Execution: Maintain KPI-oriented approach to project management, ensuring all NPI and cost saving programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
What you will need 
- Assembly Expertise: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Assembly/Manufacturing Engineering, with strong assembly technical knowledge and development skill sets.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and management skill with a proven ability to lead and develop large, multi-faceted technical teams
- Problem-Solving: Strong technical problem-solving skill with proficiency in data-driven methods. Strong knowledge in DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) is highly desirable.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required to effectively interact and negotiate with the Business Group (BG), factory teams, supporting groups, suppliers, and senior management.
- Project Management: Aggressive and strong project management skill with a proven ability to drive projects to completion and achieve defined KPIs.
