Country Lead – VietnamPOSITION SUMMARY:
All Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein brand strategy, product development and innovation are led and driven by certain PVH affiliates in the Netherlands where Tommy Hilfiger is head-quartered, and Calvin Klein in the US where it is head-quartered and both catering to global market needs. The position in this job description helps the above-mentioned PVH related parties meet their operating and strategic needs.
In charge of Vietnam and TH Supply Operations that includes Production Ops and Management while supporting sourcing functions.
Country Management to be the visible face of the region to both internal and external stakeholders and providing Country level inputs into corporate requirements on behalf of the region.
In charge of cross functional/geographic team to execute multi-tiered global supply chain strategies to drive value and achieve business goals. Have a strong business strategic vision and is business intelligence paired with supply chain experience to deliver best in class product in a competitive global marketplace.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES (Supply)
Operational Excellence & Execution
Drive sustainable practices and systems to ensure delivery of best-in-class product to meet PVH OTD requirements in the right quality.
Maintain operational excellence ensuring vendors and teams are adhering to PVH’s rollout of policies and initiatives (e.g., BCCU tracking, Transaction and Garment certification, Traceability initiatives).
Drive Critical Path adherence within the region from PO placement to ACD.
Support product-to-market process activities, including development and bulk allocation, while owning production planning and purchase order management.
Identify and execute initiatives to increase operational efficiencies, leverage economies of scale, and optimize the supply chain.
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
Manage relationships with L1 vendors and key L2/L3 partners in the country/region.
Partner with Regional and Global Sourcing and Category Leads on vendor strategy by providing inputs into regional vendor allocation to support business needs.
Build relationships and maintain connectivity with country partners to develop future partners and execute strategies.
Manage internal and external vendor relationships and report out on qualitative and quantitative performance metrics.
Optimize regional country of origin strategies to service global ship-to destinations, focusing on duty benefits, cost, quality, and lead time.
Cost Optimization & Value Creation
Optimize product cost by leading cost renegotiations with vendors where applicable, unlocking value, and delivering against margin goals.
Drive supply chain initiatives that enable speed, agility, and flexibility to deliver best price-value product.
Product Quality, Technical Excellence & Compliance
Ensure consumer and brand product needs are met by partnering with Technical Services, Quality teams, and vendors to achieve quality standards.
Ensure Corporate Responsibility standards throughout the supply chain, inclusive of social and environmental responsibility, sustainability, and global requirements.
Strategic Alignment & Business Integration
Understand and execute on PVH Supply Plan priorities.
Partner cross-functionally to ensure sourcing strategies align with overall brand, consumer, and business objectives.
Talent Development & Leadership
Develop high-performing teams and grow best-in-class talent committed to a shared value system of integrity and collaboration.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES (Country Management)
Own geo-political oversight and connections with industry and government and trade bodies.
Drive PVH wide initiatives in collaboration & alignment with the respective Brand Supply regional leads.
Drive country specific strategic initiatives
Drive CR CAP and initiatives with vendors.
Support developing vendor capabilities and new vendors for both brands in alignment with the brands evolving strategic needs.
Own running of the office/administration in as smooth manner.
Provide overall leadership for the office, lead I&D activities and social committee activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Garment and Textile, or its equivalent with about 15-20 years of working experience, of which a minimum of 10 years in Leadership positions including 5 years or more in manufacturing
Experience developing winning communication
Ability to manage and mentor Direct and Indirect associates in the region
Exemplary project management skills
Extensive supply chain knowledge and experience with focus on Asia
Extensive knowledge of raw materials, costing, macro-economic trends and capacity planning
In-depth knowledge of sourcing and production Strategy
In-depth knowledge of multi-tiered sourcing strategies
Knowledge of local trade policies and legislative action
Access to an extensive network of contacts and relationships
Superior writing and editing skills
Public speaking skills
