The team

Hitachi Digital Services Japan, which is the HDS’s Japan country office, is strengthening its offshore engineering services leveraging development centers in Vietnam and India, building a global delivery structure that combines high quality and cost competitiveness.

The role

  • Responsible for proposing and selling offshore development and IT engineering services to domestic corporate clients (mainly large enterprises and system integrators, include companies within the Hitachi Group.)
  • Conduct capability presentations, handle client inquiries, perform requirement hearings, and organize project outlines
  • Collaborate with SE teams in Vietnam and India to support and coordinate the creation of proposals and quotations
    • Adjust technical content, scope, schedule, and cost, ensuring quality control.
    • Review proposal documents and verify deliverables before client submission.
  • Lead client presentations, contract negotiations, and deal closing.
  • Provide post-order follow-up, additional proposals, and build long-term client relationships.
  • Manage sales pipelines, develop revenue plans, and formulate and execute sales strategies.
  • Opportunity management and pipeline tracking using CRM systems.
  • Work closely with engineering and project management teams in Vietnam and India.
  • Service Areas:
    • Software development (Web, Mobile, Cloud applications).
    • System development and testing.
    • AI and data analytics platform implementation support.
    • IoT and smart manufacturing solutions.
    • IT operations support.
    • Offshore development support (dedicated team / fixed-price models).

 

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum of 3 years of corporate sales experience in the IT industry (SIer, software development, SaaS, etc.).
  • Understanding or practical experience in offshore development (especially with Vietnam or India).
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating with technical teams (domestic and international).
  • Understanding of proposal and quotation creation processes, with strong coordination skills.
  • Language proficiency:
    • Japanese: Native or business level.
    • English: Business level (for meetings and documentation with overseas centers).
    • Vietnamese: Business level (for communication and negotiation with local SE and sales teams).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience working with offshore centers in Asia, including Vietnam and India.
    • Technical knowledge in cloud, AI, or application development.
    • Experience in proposing and securing large-scale projects (tens of millions of yen or more).
    • Experience delivering presentations or negotiations in English and Vietnamese.
    • Experience with overseas business travel or on-site customer engagements.
  • Desired Attributes:
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment with diverse cultural backgrounds.
    • Strong customer orientation and a consultative, problem-solving approach to sales.
    • Excellent coordination and negotiation skills, with the ability to demonstrate leadership.
