What You’ll Do

As a Corporate Paralegal your role will ensure the Company remains  up to date with global corporate compliance obligations, as well as supporting business critical projects within the legal function. You will have the opportunity to engage in a range of corporate matters and participate in various cross functional projects to support Mimecast’s growth plans. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Corporate Counsel and Deputy General Counsel with the company’s corporate governance requirements in all jurisdictions where Mimecast does business.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of corporate documentation, including minute books, board meeting agendas, directors appointments, resignations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized corporate records and databases, ensuring all documentation is available and up to date.
  • Support internal and external counsel with statutory filings.
  • Collaborate with corporate and regional finance stakeholders on corporate compliance matters, KYC requests and data for financial audits.
  • Support with management of external counsel fees and billing system.
  • Offer support to legal operations matters and management of technology used by the Legal team
  • Support Business Legal Team with ad hoc commercial paralegal matters.
  • Support Employment Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer with policy reviews, scheduling compliance training and ad hoc internal investigations.
  • Deliver in person hew hire compliance trainings on a regular basis.
  • Implement processes and procedures in the key areas of responsibility to support an environment of continuous improvement, through use of technology and AI tools.
  • Support strategic projects relating to expansion into new territories and M&A and assist with adhoc legal matters as they arise.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Completion of a recognized paralegal training course or certification, or a degree in Law is highly desirable.
  • Approximately 5 years experience as a corporate paralegal or similar role with a strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and statutory requirements.
  • Be able to work independently and in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, with the ability to manage various legal tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold the highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.
  • Willingness to engage in the use of AI tools to support development of the role.
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop as your career progresses.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters.

The UK base salary range for this position is £44,000-£66,000 base + benefits. This reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. This position may also be eligible for bonus, incentive plans, and other related benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. These factors and individual capabilities will also determine the individual pay offered.
