Position Overview
Entrust is looking for an experienced and collaborative Corporate Attorney to join our global legal team. This role will support US employment law and litigation at Entrust, working closely with HR and management on a wide range of matters, including hiring, drafting and negotiating separation agreements and other employee agreements, employment law compliance, investigations, and immigration matters, as well as managing employee-related claims and litigation, with opportunities for legal work in other areas including commercial contracts.

We’re looking for a Corporate Attorney - Employment (Hybrid in Shakopee, MN)

Entrust is looking for an experienced and collaborative Corporate Attorney to join our global legal team. This role will support US employment law and litigation at Entrust, working closely with HR and management on a wide range of matters, including hiring, drafting and negotiating separation agreements and other employee agreements, employment law compliance, investigations, and immigration matters, as well as managing employee-related claims and litigation, with opportunities for legal work in other areas including commercial contracts.

This Corporate Attorney will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment while partnering with teams and leaders across HR, Legal, and all segments of a dynamic global technology company. The specific areas of focus and responsibilities will vary with evolving laws and regulations and the company’s overall strategic direction, but include the following: 

How you will make an impact: 

  • Advise on all types of employment law matters (with primary focus on US law) including, but not limited to recruiting and hiring practices, wage and hour and pay equity issues, performance management, employee discipline, internal investigations, leave and accommodation requests, disability related issues, employee terminations, discrimination and harassment complaints, interpreting and applying employment policies and statutory regulations, and negotiating and preparing employment-related agreements.

  • Manage employment related claims in all stages including internal investigation, pre-litigation, judicial, and administrative proceedings, supervising outside counsel where necessary.

  • Provide practical and timely legal and business advice to HR and other business leaders on various employment matters and initiatives to effectively minimize and mitigate legal risk.

  • Partner with external counsel and internal teams to support and advise on immigration matters, including individual visa sponsorship cases as well as overall company immigration policy.

  • Review and negotiation of commercial agreements on occasion, and regularly serve as subject-matter expert with respect to employment-related contract terms.

  • Work in collaboration with other in-house attorneys located globally and outside counsel, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills and sound judgment.

  • Handle additional projects as assigned, including work related to corporate and commercial legal matters.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree

  • Admission to the Bar of at least one state (preferably MN)

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US 

  • 5+ years of relevant, post-law school experience with a focus in employment law, including advice and litigation, mix of law firm and in-house experience preferred.

  • Experience interpreting, drafting and negotiating contracts

Compensation Range:


The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $149,504-$219,272 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan. In addition to your pay, Entrust offers eligible colleagues and their dependents comprehensive health and well-being programs which include medical, vision, dental, a generous 401(k) matching contribution, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off plus 12 paid holidays, parental leave and education reimbursement.
