Position Summary:

This position exists as the focal point for all Quality System administration.  Responsible for all controlled document and data control issues supporting the Attica Plant operations.  The position is responsible for managing the Corrective & Preventive Action process, the Internal Audit Process, the Document Control process, and other related Quality System Processes.  The position is also actively involved in daily Quality Engineering support. This position facilitates ISO9000 & TL9000 system requirements for the Quality Department, and assists other departments in their efforts in these areas.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for Quality System Procedure for document and data control.
  • Directly responsible for Quality System Procedure for corrective and preventive action.
  • Directly responsible for Quality System Procedure for internal audits.
  • Directly responsible for Quality communication process within the plant.
  • Provides ISO/TL Quality System training for all departments as necessary.
  • Gathers, reports, and analyzes Quality performance data.
  • Conducts internal audits.
  • Participates in Quality & Continuous Improvement Team activities.
  • Participates in Process Quality Planning, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Process Control Plan development, Quality Instructions, etc.
  • Provides quality and problem solving support to the plant as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

No supervisory responsibility.  May provide leadership, work assignments, evaluation, training, and guidance to others.

  • Decisions made or actions taken on own authority:Setting priorities on tasks at hand
  • Decisions/actions that require support of associates or higher approval:Coordinate time schedules and distribution of SOP's with department managers

Minimum Qualifications (education, skills, knowledge, experience, etc.)

Associates degree or equivalent experience (five - eight years in manufacturing quality and Quality Management Systems) with demonstrated problem solving abilities. 

Must be knowledgeable in fundamental computer skills.

Working Conditions

Performance of responsibilities of position occurs generally in an office environment, and requires use of standard office equipment (personal computer, printer, fax, photocopy machines.)  Travel generally not required in this position.
