Converter Support Manager

As a Converter Support Manager, you will…
As a Converter Support Manager, you will provide technical support to national and international customers, deliver product training, and oversee the implementation of folding box board and packaging-related products and services. A key focus will be minimizing complaints through rapid on-site problem-solving and providing valuable feedback to mill quality management and R&D teams. You will also lead complex projects aimed at optimizing the cartonboard and packaging value chain. This role requires deep expertise in folding box board, a strong background in printing technologies, die-cutting, and other carton or paper-related packaging processes, as well as the ability to work independently and manage extensive travel requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Provide technical support to national and international customers.
Support customers requests on product details like specification, quality & safety and sustainability
Deliver product training on folding box board and packaging-related products and services.
Oversee the implementation of folding box board solutions for customers.
Minimize complaints through rapid on-site problem-solving.
Share feedback and insights with mill quality management and R&D teams to drive product improvements.
Lead complex projects aimed at optimizing the cartonboard and packaging value chain.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance packaging processes.
Monitor and assess market developments for both customers and competitors.
Identify potential new customers and develop business opportunities in collaboration with sales.
Manage extensive travel requirements, providing on-site support as needed.

Who are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
Industry experience in packaging, with a focus on post-processing areas like printing, die-cutting, gluing, filling, and sealing
Willingness and availability for extensive travel
Initiative, high motivation, and the ability to work independently and in a results-oriented manner
Expertise in web offset printing is essential, with additional experience in other application and processing highly valued
Knowledge of prepress or other consumables such as printing inks and plates is an advantage
A background in technical or engineering fields, coupled with proficiency in both spoken and written French and strong English language skills
Ideally located in France close to international airport or countries next to French boarder.
Proficiency in PC-based work is required
