We are seeking for a Controls Engineer to join our Research & Development team and provide solutions and new products. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time mostly in USA. The Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of control systems for material handling automation equipment. This includes developing product concepts, prototypes, and firmware, as well as supporting product testing and field troubleshooting. The role requires strong technical knowledge in electrical and controls engineering, the ability to work cross-functionally, and the initiative to lead complex problem-solving tasks.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop detailed plans and objectives for product development.
- Guide and complete the preparation of design layouts, sketches, and technical specifications.
- Evaluate and review design results to ensure intended product performance.
- Develop prototypes for testing and provide technical support on design feasibility.
- Standardize materials, components, and assemblies for new and existing products.
- Maintain detailed documentation of designs, ideas, and technical improvements.
- Support the Customer Service team to ensure proper product functionality.
- Provide guidance and training to engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required for installations, troubleshooting, and product validation.
- Mexican passport and US tourist VISA required
Technical Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain controls software for industrial control systems.
- Perform engineering change management and maintain design records.
- Evaluate and improve existing product designs and control architectures.
- Work with hardware integration including PLCs (Siemens / Allen Bradley) and communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, AS-i).
- Develop and document PLC code using Siemens TIA Portal and RSLogix / Studio 5000
- Ensure compliance with UL 508, 508A, NEC, and CE standards.
- Support technical proposal preparation, customer training, and documentation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field required. (Professional license is a must)
- Master’s degree in related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product design and control systems.
- Experience with embedded firmware, motor controls (AC/DC), and R&D development required.
- Familiarity with SAP, engineering documentation systems, and software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of UL, CE, and NEC standards.
- Experience with CI/CD y Git

- Familiarity with automation networks and fieldbus systems.
- Experience with applications engineering or system integration projects.
- Experience with developing and document firmware using C, C++, Visual C, and Visual Basic.
- Experience in the material handling or automation industry preferred.
