Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer is responsible for maintaining programming backups, as well as the electrical and mechanical manuals of the machinery under their charge. They must also ensure that their PC is in good condition and equipped with the proper software to perform their work efficiently and effectively.

Professional degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering

Advanced English

PLC Electrical Engineering

Robotics

Computer software proficiency

Experience in processes involving metal-mechanical machinery and maintenance systems

 Establish, implement, maintain, and improve the quality system and its processes.
 Train new employees and monitor their operational training progress.
 Comply with Payroll procedures (Leave Requests, Vacations, Sick Leaves).
 Share and preserve knowledge within my area.
 Comply with Labor Relations procedures.
 Attend courses assigned according to your position.
 Ensure compliance with Standard 035 and the corporate Psychosocial Risk Policy.
 Follow up on the closure of unsafe acts and conditions within your work area.
 Implement safety and environmental policies.
 Actively participate in identifying risks within your work areas.
 Establish, implement, and improve the safety and environmental management system.

 Has the authority to stop any activity that may endanger the health or safety of any person.

 Provides support to maintenance technicians.
 Must keep machine backups updated according to the work schedule.
 Must control and securely store electrical and mechanical manuals.
 Must use lockout equipment for every task performed on machines.
 Must require any technician to use lockout procedures.
 Must define a list of critical spare parts and register them in the system.
 Follows up on maintenance metrics to perform failure analyses.
 Maintains order and cleanliness in the work area.
 Keeps electronic equipment used in the maintenance area in good working condition (vibration analyzers, thermography devices, PCs, laptops, multimeters).
 Supports organizational and departmental objectives.
 Participates in various meetings.
 Complies with the quality system (ISO/IATF16949 – ISO 14001).
 Supports compliance with internal control requirements.
 Maintains proper controls within their area.
 Complies with applicable labor standards.
 Is responsible for complying with and following up on Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures related to their operational activities.
