Job Summary
As a Contracting Specialist, you will assist the agents as they contract with various health insurance carriers. You will become an expert in contract processing procedures and activities related to contract requests and proposals. You will be responsible for managing electronic documents and ensuring their accurate and timely filing. You will also work closely with agencies and agents, the sales team, and other internal departments to ensure effective working relationships.
As insurance is such a unique field, we do not expect you to have prior knowledge. It is imperative to the success of this position, however, that you have the ability to learn quickly. Critical thinking and problem solving are also necessary skills for this position as you will be faced with complicated problems. We will, however, always be there when you have a question.
A large part of this position is data entry, so you must be incredibly detail-oriented and organized. We pride ourselves on the accuracy of our data.
Primary Responsibilities:
Submit and distribute contracting links
Email management
Utilize electronic filing systems to input, update, and retrieve documents as needed
Maintain integrity of CRM data
Data auditing
Complete Ready to Sell reports
Follow and ensure confidentiality regulations and compliance guidelines (e.g., PHI; HIPAA)
Primary Skills & Requirements:
Insurance experience preferred
High School Diploma
