What you'll be doing;
Supervise and drive cost effective, supporting our Waste Collection and Street Cleansing services.
Plan and organise team and operative work processes to deliver services on budget to specified standards.
Ensure that the operations are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with all legal requirements.
Maintain reasonable discipline and behaviour in the workplace.
Monitor the work of teams and operatives regularly to ensure productivity and quality is in line with contractual and business requirements/objectives.
Monitor jobs on ECHO to ensure they are completed and closed within SLA.
Conduct regular Team Safe Observations, toolbox talks, and training refreshers.
Carry out NI195 inspections regularly.
Perform inspections following official complaints and visit known areas of concerns as regularly as required.
Record and report findings to Service Delivery Managers and support with any rectifications required.
Work closely and liaise regularly with managers and the client.
Carry out front line accident investigations and reporting for both vehicle and personal accidents.
Support the recruitment, on boarding, and development of new starters with a particular focus on Drivers, ensuring all required inductions and assessments are completed.
Support in investigations and other formal/informal procedures and sanctions.
What we're looking for;
Essential:
Supervisory experience
Previous experience working in a similar role
Knowledge and experience of working in street cleansing services
Operational health & safety shown through work practice and processes
Desirable:
Prior experience working within Waste
