Waste Connections is looking for a Truck Washer to join our GROWING team in El Paso, TX.
PAY:
• This position is eligible for safety bonuses
• $19.00+ per hour with a shift differential

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Here’s a clear and practical list of duties and responsibilities for a trash truck washer:
Primary Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize trash trucks inside and out using pressure washers, hoses, and cleaning agents.
Remove debris, grime, and waste residue from truck surfaces, including compactors and bins.
Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and report any damage or maintenance needs.
Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper storage and usage of chemicals.
Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning agents and operating equipment.
Additional Duties:
Document completed washes and maintain logs for fleet management.
Assist with minor detailing such as polishing mirrors, windows, and lights.
Coordinate with drivers or fleet managers to schedule cleanings.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding wastewater disposal.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
•Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
•Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.
•The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather condidtions
• Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
